“Why do people like you?”

“Good personality. Funny. Like to joke around.”

“What do you like to do for fun?”

“Crafts. Like, I was at the Boys and Girls Club before the flood, and they started making necklaces and stuff out of beads, and I do that for fun on the side every once in a while. And I actually sell them.”

“Where do you sell them?”

“One time I sold $150-worth of stuff down at Ellis, walking around.”

“Ellis Park?”

“Yeah, before the fireworks on July 3rd.”

“So, tell me about your hair.”

“She [his best friend’s ex-girlfriend] wanted to dye someone’s hair. I just wanted it, like, bleached. And then she’s like ‘Let me put some color in it.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t really want it.’ But she kept on bugging me. And we had all this colored dye that came with the color and the bleach. So we had all this extra dye that we didn’t know what to do with, so I’m like, ‘Okay.’ It was supposed to be right down the center, but as you can tell, it’s not. And it’s supposed to be red, but it turned out pink.”
